Hood Scoop Splitter for Subaru Legacy BL/BP | Swap GRB STi engine EJ207

Hood Scoop IC splitter for Subaru Legacy BL/BP 2003-2009 is required if you have swapped your engine to the Impreza WRX STi (EJ207) GRB engine.
The Hood Scoop splitter from Rising Tuning will help create alignment between the standard hood intake and the standard upper intercooler from the EJ207 motor. A rubber gasket along the bottom edge of the splitter will create a secure and tight connection - forming a straight tunnel. This will increase the density of the incoming air and its incoming volume, this will allow hot air streams to be diverted more efficiently and maximize the cooling of the entire system.
Thus with the installation of Hood Scoop IC splitter you do not need to change the standard intercooler after the motor swap, you can leave the standard one from GRB motor that was created for it.
If you do not install this splitter, you will not be able to effectively cool the motor and create alignment between the upper intercooler and the hood nostril.
