It seamlessly fits all trim levels (XLS, XLT, Eddie Bauer, Limited), both Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and 4-Wheel Drive (4WD/AWD) drivetrain configurations, across all powertrain options (including 4.0L Cologne SOHC V6 and 4.6L Modular V8 engines) produced from 01.2001–07.2005.

⚠️ Generation & Chassis Architecture Notice: Between 2001 and 2005, Ford sold multiple models under the "Explorer" nameplate using two entirely different chassis platforms:

• ☑️ Third Generation 5-door SUV (U152 Platform, 2001–2005): Features 4-wheel independent suspension with coil-over strut assemblies on all four corners. (100% Compatible with this kit).
• ⛔ Second Generation Legacy Models (UN105 Platform): The 2-door Explorer Sport (produced through 2003) and the Explorer Sport Trac pickup (produced through 2005) remained on the older 2nd Gen platform. They utilize front torsion bars and a rear solid live axle with leaf springs. (NOT Compatible — strut spacers cannot be installed on torsion/leaf spring setups).

• Front & Rear Axle Installation (Studs): This kit requires pressing out the original factory splined studs from both the front and rear upper strut mounts. They must be replaced with the provided reinforced extended studs to ensure sufficient thread engagement and maximum structural integrity.
• Lift Height Disclaimer: Please note that the final achieved lift height may vary depending on the individual condition and service life of your vehicle's suspension. Factors such as factory spring fatigue, engine and powertrain weight configurations (lighter 4.0L V6 RWD vs. heavier 4.6L Modular V8 4WD/AWD drivetrains with transfer case and front differential), Class III/IV towing package equipment, and third-row seat configurations can influence the final suspension height.
